DC Market

Washington, DC

Art made here,
found here.

A free directory for independent artists, studios, and makers in the District. No application, no jury, no fees.

How it works

Submit your profile

Name, bio, neighborhood, mediums, and a link to your existing store or website. Takes about two minutes. Studios and schools can list too.

Get listed

After a quick review, your profile goes live. Shopify products appear automatically.

Get discovered

Locals and visitors browse by neighborhood and medium. Event organizers find artists for pop-ups and shows. People buy from you directly.

Why this exists

The DC arts scene is vibrant but fragmented. Etsy is global with no local identity. Eastern Market is physical and weekend-only. Juried programs require a business license and application review. Studios advertise on Instagram but are invisible to the person searching “pottery class near me.”

Nobody offers the simple thing: sign up, link your store, and appear in a directory that your neighbors actually browse. DC Market is free to use, free to run, and open to anyone making things in the District.

Studios & schools

Pottery studios, art schools, galleries, and makerspaces.
